Meet Shelley
Shelley Todd was born and raised in Canada, with a cosmetology license in hand in 1982 the journey began. With travel in her blood and scissors and comb (bread and butter) she was off and running to see the world. Her travels took her to Hawaii, Turks and Caicos, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica and finally settling in California, USA.
A decade later she became a certified permanent makeup technician. Shelley trained with Sam Butcher at the MPI clinic in La Jolla, Ca. Sam trademarked the name “feather stroke” which is a hair stroke tattooed with a machine!
In 2005 a new service was added to the menu. Tattoo removal with a “non laser” method called Rejuvi. This method is used successfully all over the world especially in Europe. Shelley soon after became a trainer for Rejuvi and has a successful removal and training business with the company.
In 2016 Scalp Micropigmentation was a natural progression of services.

Meet Daniel
At 18 years young, he bought himself a tattoo machine kit with hopes to pursue a career that supported his love for art. Unable to find the right mentor or shop to work out of, he pushed back the dream of a career in art and focused on education.
In 2011, Daniel graduated from California State University San Marcos with a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Development and an emphasis in Counseling. While that career path did not go as planned, he maintained a strong desire to help people.
Helping provide for his wife and raise their family became the priority. While most “jobs” he’s had were primarily driven by the need for an income to take care of responsibilities (bills), he could not find a career that motivated him; until…
SoCal Scalp Pros found him.
He discovered Scalp Micro Pigmentation (SMP) after scrolling the internet looking for a solution for his own hair loss. After having the procedure done on himself, he immediately gravitated to the creative process. A career in SMP was the perfect outlet for him to express his artistic talent and, at the same time, help people feel more confident about themselves.
Daniel Mora is the newest and most driven SMP Artist SoCal Scalp Pros has welcomed to the team.
